The Civil Air Patrol's Idaho Wing (Abbreviated IDWG) is the highest echelon of Civil Air Patrol in the state of Idaho Wing headquarters are located in Blackfoot Idaho. Idaho Wing oversees 9 squadrons and over 400 cadets and senior members across the state of Idaho.

The Civil Air Patrol has a glider camp every summer at Driggs Airport. Check out the Schedule on their website.

"With the successful conclusion of the 2023 glider season for the Civil Air Patrol having conducted over 200 Cadet Orientation rides in Driggs is a remarkable achievement. These experiences undoubtedly provide an invaluable opportunity for young cadets to get exposed to aviation and potentially ignite a lifelong passion for flying.

It' heartwarming to see the strong support from the City of Driggs and the local community for this program. Such community support is essential for the success of initiatives like these, and it plays a crucial role in fostering interest in aviation among our youth. The collaboration between the Civil Air Patrol and the United States Air Force, as well as the dedication of all those involved, should be commended.

Aviation programs like this help inspire the next generation of aviators and serve as a testament to the importance of partnerships between civic organizations, the military, and local communities. Here's to more successful seasons and the continued growth of this program in the future!"
